Get Walking With Chiropractic! It’s a Beautiful Day

Getting active is a good way to increase your metabolism, enjoy these beautiful days and increase your heart health. Ask any health guru and they will tell you that it only takes a short amount of time per day to reap the benefits of an active  lifestyle. You should be engaged in at least one hour of moderate to vigorous physical activity per day. Your health depends on it!

Chiropractic and Walking

A few patients have recently commented to me that they are now able to walk around the mall or outside and enjoy the beautiful weather now that they have been under regular Chiropractic Care at Solid Foundation Chiropractic.  I always get excited when I see people achieving their goals. One lady, who has seen great results, said to me on her new patient consultation, “Dr. Brock, I feel a lot of pain in my hips and low back when I walk a long distance. I usually have to sit down and then I can get back up and keep going.” I asked her, “How long are you considering a long distance to be?” She said, “At Devonshire Mall, when I walk from Target to Sears and back, I have to sit and rest on the way back.” You might be thinking, that is not a long distance and I was too when she said it. After educating her about the amazing ability that the body has to heal and function at 100%, she decided her goal was to walk again without pain. After specifically applied Chiropractic adjustments her function increased. Last week she said to me “Dr. Brock, I was walking all day at the mall and around a few other stores and I did not have to stop once. Thank you.”

The Power in the Body

The truth is, I was able to adjust her spine and the spine supports the nervous system, but it was her body that did the healing and the strengthening.
